Hand Painted Original Textile Artwork

Today I’d like to share four new hand painted original textile artworks fresh from my studio! These pieces are FULL of texture, layering, earthy colors and definitely one of a kind! They’re reminiscent of the golden light of the desert, pink canyons and the organic feeling of the earth.

These pieces incorporate natural cotton muslin and linen, and are delicately hand stitched.

In the above piece “ Sweet Awakening” abstract hand painted pieces of muslin are layered and hand stitched together, and then displayed in an 11 x 14 inch frame.

“Woven” incorporates pieces of linen and cotton, which are hand sewn into an abstract woven pattern. Hand painted muslin is layered behind the woven fabrics.

“Desert Dawn” is full of organic + abstract brush strokes on muslin. Hand stitching fills the border and this piece is displayed in an 11 x 14 inch frame. This piece feels so earthy and textured.
